Yes, around $165. plus paint. It does make a rather dramatic difference to the look of the front end for such a relatively small investment. Although the twin headlights on our bikes may be one of the more unique things about them, I'm not sure they'd win any styling awards. I think that the "Scowl" is the most cost effective styling change you can make to the front half of the bike. The only thing that I personally think makes a bigger difference (at a much higher cost) is to paint the inner fairing. But, as they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
If we all wanted a cosmetically appealing bike for everyone else to like, we sure wouldn't have bought these. That bezel is bad ass. And I'll be honest, it took forever for the Road Glide to grow on me. I hated my dad's for 6 years. That is until he let me ride his after I test rode a Street Glide at the stealer. Case closed.
Maybe I'm wrong, but if you take out the bezel screws to change a lamp, you have to remove the outer fairing to put it back on versus the current snap out and in process. Not unless you modified the nuts to be captive. (Oh... that sounds so wrong).
Yeah, had my fairing off many times too. Don't care to do that on the road to replace a lamp.
