Birds favorite color?

I know this may seem silly but I bought my yellow and orange RG at the end of January.

These past few months there seems to have been an unusual amount of bird attacks. I don't mean the kind that falls from the sky although there have been a few of them but rather birds trying to fly right into me.

I have hit 2 birds the past 2 months and had to duck underneath one a couple of days ago as he was coming at me.

I have been riding for many years and had never hit a bird or any animal on my bike (snakes excluded, they were intentional)

Do they think my yellow bike is a giant insect?

Would love to hear back from others on this, especially from the Yellow crowd.

Funny thing, my GF was commenting on the fact that i seem to be getting many close calls with birds flybies near my front wheel this year. Ride a vivid black though.. Might simply be a territory thing, who knows?!

...... i've not noticed any 'low flyers' paying any special attention to me
.... 'cept, of course, that Screamin' Eagle that regularly taps me on the shoulder saying.... 'hey, you know you want to' !

Just be thankful you didn't get a red bike, those flocks of killer hummingbirds can be real dangerous!

Now that's funny, some flocking Hummingbirds!!

A friend had a Yellow Bike with some ghost green flames in it and the number one thing that loved to attack it were Grasshoppers. We went though Grasshopper country one summer in 2003 and everyone got a few Grasshoppers on their bike but his was rediculous. We're talking hundreds of them and they were caught between the engine fins and everywhere else. We all stood clear of his bike for 2 reasons, the stench of cooked hoppers and the sudden attraction of Bee's to the dead Hoppers.

Birds do like my Bright Red Candy Rk too. It was once adorned by a Blue Bird.

I wonder if they think my Yellow Pearl is actually Canary Yellow and they are looking for a mate...

Oh I have problems with that same Screamin Eagle too. A work associate who lives up the road a bit says I ride it like a Sport Bike rather than a Touring bike.

A kid at work who rode a Hyubusa always wanted to race, I told him he might beat me to the next service station but I would beat him to the one after that.

No kidding I think the heat is getting to them. I also have had a few near miss bird attacks this year also. Even in the cage the dumb bast__ds just seem to want to attack. Going to work last week a minivan in front of me was dive bombed by a goose. It glanced off his roof and almost picked me off as well. Maybe I should start packin the Remington to take care of the dumb bast__ds.
