Heading back from lunch today I took her up to 110 MPH. Had no problem and was sitting at 4K RPM so I still have 1.5K RPM left to go to redline. Could have easially buried the speedo but don't really like going that fast for a long time.

Also found out the cruise control shuts off at 90 MPH.

Ahh, I miss those days, started off in apt in K-town, moved to Hermersberg, and ended up in Siegelbach..Got quite a few speeding tickets once I came back to states, took a while to tone down the driving.

Got mine to 112 before the dot down the road looked like LEO. Black of course.

When I was 6 I used to ask my mom to go "One-Two-Oh" in our Pontiac GTO. She did it easily, it was great!! :D

Ive seen 185 on my 97 Blackbird, 145 on my 07 M109R, 130 on my 07 Gold Wing, 130 on my 04 Rune, 125 on my 01 Valkyrie, but the Road Glide has only seen 100 one time. For some reason the other bikes just beg me to roll my right wrist much more than the Glide does. Maybe its because in it's current stock form, there really isn't much there after the initial torque push! But for some reason it doesn't really matter! I bought the RG for cruising, and am happy to sit back and let it do what it does best!

Definitely no cruise after 90 and youll need to use 5th gear to peg the speedo. Or so ive been told ;). The bike will easily handle the top speed, again so ive been told ;)

Ha! Someone told you wrong! :) The needle stops moving quicker in 5th, but in 6th you can keep going a good chunk of rpms past that if you have room.
I was going past 5k when I saw the crown vic on the side of highway. Thank god for ABS and a LEO in a good mood.

I've topped 100 a few times on the RG without really trying. Just running down the Interstate with The Boys.

On the Vulcan, I had to be careful to keep it under 100. It liked to creep up there when I wasn't watching.

110" RG vs 125" Vulcan.
6 Speed vs 5 Speed
? hp......vs 116+ hp
Geezer.......Hot Rod
Glide......vs V-Twin

I prefer the RG to the Vulcan, but I'm glad I still have it to ride while the RG is in the body shop. I sure hope it gets out soon, the unforgiving seat on the Vulcan doesn't have enough padding.

I have the Big Vulcan too but I feel that the Vulcan has the better seat.. I want to get a better seat for my RGU but, I dont want to spend the bucks for a new seat only to discover that it is worse than the one I have..
The only complaint I have about the Vulcan is having to replace the rear tire every 4000 miles or so(3 to 4 tires a year on the rear) and a new front every 8000..

My '04 Standard topped out around 130 but this one tops out at only 120. That should change once I get the compression back though.

Got my fully loaded RGU up to 114 (according to my Garmin speedo- the HD one showed 117) on a 12 mile straightaway between Alpine, Tx and Big Bend NP. Kept it there for 3 or 4 miles but it wouldn't do an inch a mile faster than 114

Had mine up to 100 (fully loaded) on the interstate. nice an smooth and still heard the radio!!!:D:D

If i want to lose my license, ill throw a leg on the 'Busa, but it is nowhere near as comfortable as the RGU:p

I hit just shy of 120 on mine and it was still pulling strong. Eased out 'cuz I was coming up fast on traffic. The cams seem to really help!

Fast is fun; kinda like flying and better than Magic Mountain! But cruise control at 90 also seems just fine to me. Do you really need to set the cruise at 100? Rather have that kinda speed just controlled by my right hand... Just sayin...

I don't know how fast my RG is since the meter only goes to 120, but I was running with a buddy on a M109, and he couldn't leave me, never could do that when it was stock, it would stop at about 117.

Had mine up over 120 just after I put my new wheels on to see if it would stay straight and true, was very happy with all the power I had in 6th up over 4k, it happens way faster on a 100+ hp bike than it did on my old 64hp softy!
