Someone new signed up for the Shark Week festivities and all I can say is....y'all better watch out! Myrt is on the loose!!!
Myrtle acquired some new wheels yesterday.
This is the Spartan utility trailer from Bushtec. I drove to their factory in Tn yesterday and picked it up. It will be outfitted with a dog box which will be removable so that if she doesnt travel with us, we can just use a cargo box and haul just our stuff.
If an over nighter leave it in the hotel room, or take it sight seeing with you when you can. For shark week i will have to use a veri kennel strapped in the trailer. I just don't have enough time to build or buy and adapt an insulated dog box before we leave. My plan is to use one with storage on top and maybe the bottom, that way i can fill it with ice. Basically make a swamp cooler. From what i have read on hunting forums it will drop the temp 15-20 degrees from the outside temp and last 4 or 5 hours that way.
Here is a link to Mutt Muffs. Our dog has a set and uses them when flying in small planes greatly reducing stress from the noise. Being 3 feet or so behind the exhaust on a Harley will extremely loud. Heck, I stay back 75-100 feet behind other Harley's that we ride with. http://www.safeandsoundpets.com/index.html
She is very adorable, I saw those trailers at Americade this year and they look pretty neat. Very light and strong. I've never towed with the bike only with my suv how does it compare between the 2 and is there any way of making it not so permanent on the bike as far as the hitch goes? I saw a trailer that converts into a home with air-conditioning and I am very tempted on getting it but don't want the hitch to be permanent on the back.
I guess ill pack some milkbones for Shark week!! My dog saw the trailer, gave me a dirty look then crapped on my garage floor! you have a very lucky dog
What everyone don't realize is myrtle is a crack head for a bull dog, and she is going to try and hump everyone that comes in close. So if you decide to play with her be very aware y'all are on your own lol
You know he will be really JEALOUS especially when he sees all the SWII pictures going up and your messing around with Myrtle!!!
Hope a few others bring their pets to keep Myrtle busy a bit.
Seriously though, Myrtle is balls to the wall, apesh!t crazy about 80% of the time. Unless its 11am and we are in the recliner watching The Price is Right or when its time to get in the kennel at bedtime. Thats when she 'dies' and goes stiff. She DOES NOT want to go to bed!
Here she is after hearing the word 'bedtime'
Looks like the RGU is not the only "tractor" that hitch will have to work with.
