The dealer you got the bike from should have a bent piece of metal that is part of the tag. If not they sell them cheap.

FWIW, when I put a rear pillion on my FLHP, I trimmed it down and used the screw holding the pillion to hold the inspection plate.

Welcome to the Tank from North Texas. What part of Texas are you from?

On my RGU I put my inspection sticker on the plate that attached to the bottom of the license plate holder which is tucked under the Tour Pak and is pretty well hidden. Without a Tour Pak I would opt for somewhere else.

Here is a chrome plate made for inspection stickers that I had on the Heritage and you can find lots of places to mount it inconspicuously. Can pick them up at most dealerships and Indy's.

They are required here in WV but it is up in the air on where to put them. Some put them on the inside of the saddlebag lid. But I think that just gives the law a reason to pull you over. Some put them on the fork tube which, in my opinion is an ugly place to put it. I have mine on a chrome tag mounted to the front of the frame on the cross member. I like the tag mounted next to the plate option too!

Being from Texas also, I just put mine in the right saddlebag...the law says it must be presented if asked by law enforcement. Now, that may or may not be an easy pullover reason but as small as the sticker is on the plate it would be hard to see at a glance anyways by the officer.

I have found that if I put mine in the side bag it gives the bike a much cleaner look.

inspection plate

I took the bolt off of the kickstand and placed the chrome tag holder there and replaced the bolt. It is required in Pa to be on the left side of the bike and the holder to be UNREMOVEABLE but when getting inspected that isn't enforced they just stick it on there.
