From all us Canucks up here in the cold white north, Have a great 4th of July Holiday eh!

Will be watching tonight for some of the fireworks celebrations on TV.

Best fireworks show I've ever seen and one every American should see is 4th of July at Mount Rushmore, unbelievable, was in awe for almost 2 hours, sure I swallowed a 100 bugs cause my jaw was open the hole time.

All ya'll ride safe, have fun and light up the night.

Thanks and Happy 4th to all!

I think most of the really big fireworks shows are still going on...saw two of the big networks are having shows on at 9PM CST. But many of the local mid-western fireworks displays are being called off due to the dry conditions. I'd imagine the same maybe happening elsewhere in US, especially out west.

Oh well, its still a grand holiday!

If you could see where I live, you'd guess that there wouldn't be fireworks within an hour of my house. I live on a lake in a very sparsely populated, semi-wilderness part of Maine. There are only about 4 homes that are occupied year round on this large lake, but there are another 50 or so seasonal camps. We are very blessed to have a family that owns a successful business in Massachusetts who take great pride in putting on a terrific fireworks display. We're not talking about bottle rockets here, we have the same fireworks display that you might typically find at a town of 50,000 people. Tonight was 40 straight minutes of almost continuous fireworks. The greta thing is we all go out in our boats and sit about 200 ft. off the point of land that they shoot them from. They are going off more or less right over our heads but 300' in the air.

Like I said, we're blessed to have these folks provide us with a great show in such a rural setting with wilderness character.
