Couple of shots from an evening ride after picking it up. I went for about 70 miles, just to clear my head and get a couple of photos. I have more, but not all of them were worth posting. Since they had to change the crashbars and the handlebars anyway, I had them put on Black instead of chrome. Couldn't justify replacing the front end with black, it wasn't damaged, but it is on the agenda.
This was at the Old Bike Bridge over the American River in Fair Oaks, CA.
This was at Skunk Hollow where Salmon Falls Rd crosses the South Fork of the American River, just east of Folsom, CA.
Was only down 1 month and 2 days. Seemed like forever, even though I was riding one of the other bikes. It's just not the same.
Glad to hear you're getting the Ultra back. At least you were ready to ride it and had backups to ride while the RGU was in shop. If you weren't across the country, I'd ask how much for your Vulcan. I miss having a 2nd bike.
I did my front forks with black gloss krylon when I did suspension modes about 3 years ago. They still look good, and no one knows, I touch them up with a fatty sharpie once in a while.
