What type cleaning products do you guys use? How many of you use a wash pad ,soap and a garden hose. I normally would not go this route but got caught in a big storm and the thing was filthy. I know one thing ,this Ultra is a hell of a lot harder to wash than my Soft Tail Standard,I mean just figuring out what to do with the side bags is a chore.

I use a 5gal bucket of warm water with just about any car wash soap in it and several micro fiber washcloths. Do a good rinse first then start in on it. Rinse as I go and when a cloth gets too dirty I grab a clean one. Dry with a leaf blower. I hit it with a spray detailer where the bugs impact and everywhere else bout every other wash. Meguiars has got a new one that doesn't turn white on trim........ its awesome!

I use a soft cloth and a wheel brush, blow dry with exhaust from shop vac, then pig spit the whole bike. As for the bags, I have quick disconnects, so I unplug the lights and take them off to get at the back wheel. I'm getting to the point that my back caliper is getting stained from brake dust tho, what do you all use to make it silver again?

+1 for S100 it’s great stuff, spray it on and hose it off. make sure your bike is cool before you start, and rinse it Very Very well. I don’t use it all the time, but for a major clean it’s the best I’ve found.

Soft Water

I fill my 5 gallon bucket of water with Soft water from inside the house. I don't get any water spots this way in case I can't towel off everything before it dries.

I also sometimes use the shop vac with the hose on exhaust to dry off all the nook's and crannies. Then wax and Never Dull every month or so just to keep it Glossy.

I use a microfiber wash mitt and a 5 gallon bucket of water containing liquid car soap.

I take the bags and seat off the bike before I start and was them separately. This makes it easier to clean areas behind the bags and seat.

When I'm finished I use an AirForce air blaster to dry it. It's like a air blower only with heated air.

When I'm done I wax every painted surface. It only takes a few minutes to wax the entire bike and it's well worth it.

Oh yeah, I use a different wash mitt for tires and wheels and do them after everything else has been washed.

I wash with car wash, rinse with hose, hand dry with shammy, polish with S100 polish (tank and selected bug impact parts).

Granted, I have a Sportster, but I like keeping it shiny.

Never thought of using my leaf blower as a dryer - may have to try that :D

Most times I use the S-100 wash, and then blow dry with a leaf blower. In the fall, I use bucket and rag. For a long time, I used Pledge to shine it up but I have recently started using Lucas Slick Mist polish.

Clean It

put mine on my sears motocycle jack to get both wheels off the ground. Wash with car wash and then do the wheels with spoke brush and s100. Easy to do when you can spin them while on the jack. Also a good time to check tire pressures. use leaf blower to dry then detail with micro fiber cloth and wax or detailer.
