Last night I was talking to my local HD Dealership owner and he mentioned that the RG may have a re-designed fairing? Anyone hear these rumors from a dealer. Please do not mention HD Forums as they are the like National Enquirer.... He did know for sure that there will be a RGC Anniversary CVO and RGU Anniversary CVO.

Not from a dealer, and dealers have NO information. Its all a rumor that some jerk started on the HDforums a couple years back when he said he saw pictures his dealer showed him. Total b.s. and unless anyone comes up with hard evidence its all hopes and dreams until the dealers meeting.
Again,.. no one knows anything, including dealers. They only repeat what they read on forums like us, or another customer told them.

If big changes are coming for the inner and outer fairing, then most likely they would come the year following the anniversary year. Any significant change for 2013 would likely be limited to the CVO line.

A change to the inner fairing to keep up with car technology is a double din for the radio versus the current single din opening would make eventual sense.

I agree with the previous poster who said that even the dealers do not know.

One of my best buddies residing in another state had owned a HD dealership up to 1.5 years ago. He sold it. He honestly knew nothing other than the same rumors we hear on forums. He would call me on his cell phone from the floor of the convention center when something new and interesting was announced.

The dealers do get notices like "you don't want to have any '08 on your floor when the '09 are announced."

Dealers read that and we then read the same on the forums. When I got the message I knew I had great negotiating power for a great price on a resale '08. I then bought my '08 FLTR Anniversary with only 1,500 miles on it. That is a good reason why dealers keep any such valid information to themselves.

Hard to beat the classic look. Look at both the sharknose and batwing fairings,.. very little changing done throughout all the years. Harley has always been good at getting the look right,.. I mean why is everyone else trying to copy them if they didn't do it right? :D

It would be cool to see some kind of updating,.. but just leary that it could easily end up looking like a Spaceship from Victory, or a cobbled mess from Kawasaki.

I know a guy who talks to a guy's girlfriend's cousin who was talking to a bartender that has a neighbor's uncle's dog's best friend's sister's friend that said the '13s will have a Latte Holder and an I-Pad Mount standard for the 'new' type of Harley buyer. Apparently there's also an optional hair product organizer with flip out mirror that you can upgrade too as well. Even heard there might be a hybrid version of the motor as well that runs on vegetables and douchebagness.

....... sounds like a tour pak accessory to me
.... good thing they're working on a 'flip out' mirror, cuz depending on your height, it's really difficult to get a good view what with the angle of the open lid, etc

When I purchased my Road Glide back in 2008 it came with a rare option ............... a backup camera!!

Just to let you know..... back-up cameras will be installed on all new 2013 Road Glides along with the 'flip out' mirror.

I am the manager of a local dealership, so I am going to provide you all with some confidential information that, if it leaked, could cause me to get fired. Here goes: the 2013 FLTRX will feature blinkers that have easy access so that changing the blinker fluid will take but a few moments. It will be 10W-40 rather than the current 20W-50. Also, the exhaust bearings will be interchangeable with the front wheel bearings in order to reduce cost.

You're welcome for the inside info.

I too have heard the rumors of the water cooled with radiator in lowers, with all the motor company has going redesigning the fairing in my opinion is way down the list of things to do. As we ALL know the water cooled motor is coming within the next 48 months & HD has finished and submitted their patents on that motor.
