Wheel weights on agitators

The wheel weights on my agitators keep dropping off, they're stuck on with the black 3m mounting tape from the factory. Has anyone else dealt with this kind of problem?

I was thinking a dab of silicone between each tape piece and the wheel and each weight and the tape would help it out a bit.

The other problem I have is mine are powdercoated black and all I find are the chrome replacments Like These

I think they'll replace them for free as the bikes only a month old, but who knows.

+1 ... I'd just go with the Dynabeads.

When I bought my wheel package, Eastern Performance would only balance the wheels using weights. Something about Dyna Beads may affect the tire warranty. Sounds like BS to me but I didn't have a choice. I want to go with Dyna Beads. The weights are chrome but they still look ugly ... anyone know of a good way to remove them with marring my chrome wheels? My thoughts are to use heat from a hair dryer and some fishing line but thought I'd ask here.

Love the new avatar, Jay! Arrrggghhh ..... :D
(Hope the eye is good by now!)

i had one

I had one drop off, or fly off, don't know which. The dealer put another one on. Doubt it is the adhesive, more of road conditions. My friend has an ultra, and all of his are hanging by a thread. If you think the roads cant get worse, wait 5 miles. Your tax dollars at work!

Harley has paid for a LOT of CVO front fenders to replace ones damaged from wheel weights flying off Agitators. I'd use whatever possible that doesn't involve stick on weights.

when I bought the SERGU the 1st thing I did was pull off the weights and install dyna beads. I had heard to many stories of the weights flying off and denting the front fender. Dont even have to dismount the tire. Looks much better rides just as good.
