how big of a pizza can you successfully carry on an RGU without putting it across your lap? thought of this while taking 2 12 inch pizzas home in my trunk today, seemed like there was still room for more.
anyone do this? anyone have any idea how much pizza can be carried on a Road Glide?
I bring home a family size pizza from papa murphy's every Sunday night. Plenty of room in tour pack. I don't know the size of it but it's the biggest they have.
Awesome. I was wondering about this EXACT situation. Papa Murphy's on the way home from Ft Knox to Elizabethtown. Now I know. Our "Pizza & a DVD Night" is on Friday.
At a rally in June I checked in to my motel and then ran out to a Safeway and brought back a case of water, a case of bottled beer, a bottle of bourbon and some chips... but no pizza. Folks in the lot were staring to see how I was gonna empty the cart on to the scoot. No problem...
Haven't tried pizza yet, <surprising being its my favorite food>, but there's plenty of room for Labatts, smokes, wallett, the wifes BAP. <Big A$$ Purse> with room to spare.
I carried a loaded medium pizza home (5 miles) on the gas tank with my elbows holding it in place on a 2005 CBR600RR. I probably looked like a idiot but I was happy
I have bean thinking about how to bring home a pie on my RGC!
Wife and I ordered pizza for the family plus a few dozen wings last week. Not thinking, we jumped on the bike and went to pick up the order. We grabbed the boxes, bags, and a six pack...then looked at each other for a moment. We've only had the RGU for a couple months and were still thinking we had the RK. That exact moment we were both thinking "Sh*t, we can't fit this in the bagssss waaaait a minute...we have a tour pack now!" We then proceeded to fill tour pack and bags with greasy goodness for the fam.
My opinion, bags and a tour pack can feed a family of 4 plus the neighbor kid in one trip.
If I remember correctly me and a buddy put 5 large pizzas from little ceasers in his tour-pak. I made him tote it so I didn't have to try to get the pizza smell out of mine, lol!
A tourpak rack and a bungee net does wonders for expanding your cargo capacity. We frequently haul lawn chairs, cases of beer, and even bundles of firewood on ours. We also have a Dekker Supreme bad from T-Bags, that straps on and then we stack stuff on top of that. Still haven't bought the bags to go on top of the saddlebags.
