Anyone know what the largest width tire is I can put on the rear of my bike.
I understand that the fender is the constraint and maybe the rim, I have a thunderstar rim 3 in wide and stock fender, however I do have a 2008 swingarm, probably not going to make any difference, Oh!! I also have a 1.125 pully and belt
I had a 2000 FLHR and I stuck a 200 under the fender. I had to shim out the shock and added a spacer on the rear pulley. It was tight but it worked. The only problem I had was when you backed up the drive belt would drag on the tire but going forward it pushed the belt away from the tire.
Thanks for the replies, I was thinking a 150, sounds like it will work.
I'm going for it next tire change.
