I'm representing the NV with my RG. But I'm happy to say most of Vegas is on Street glides. Vegas Harley only has 1 on the floor as of last week also. Which is fine by me.

Shhhh... There going to find out

I think there is a good reason why, too. Before I bought my first Road Glide 10 years ago (I'm on my 3rd now) I rented and test rode half a dozen models. I really wanted a Fat Boy as it was the coolest looking.

Then, reality set in. Las Vegas is an island in the middle of the desert. We have what, 4-5 good rides locally? In order to get to really good riding roads, we have to go 200+ miles off of the island to get there.

And that, is where our Roadies excel. We can chew up 200 miles of Interstate at 85 MPH in comfort, and when we get to the cool roads, carve the corners with the best of them.

I remember once a few years ago coming out of Virgin Gorge in the dead of summer. Had my wife on the back, cool vests on under a vented jacket, and running hard to get home. We passed a guy on a Street Glide with his gal on the back doing 60 or so on I-15 in the 75 MPH zone. Little shorty windshield, half helmets catching the headwind like a drogue chute on Apollo 13, shorts and tee shirts. Both were sunburnt, wind beat and looked absolutely miserable.

Yeah, that's why I ride what I ride, and not what looks cool on the showroom floor...

I rented a Glide last spring to drive from Phoenix to Tucson. Just so happens they had one of their dust storms. On my way back from Tucson winds were 40 MPH. When I got back to the dealer he said " they were starting to worry about you because of dust storm, but I knew you were on a RG and you would be OK " Don't think I could've survived on anything else.

Roughest ride I ever had :eek::eek:
