Powder Coated Black 16" Rims, Polished Staninless Spokes, Polished OEM Rotors

I pulled the trigger on some wheels. They are stock HD 16" spoke wheels with the rims powder coated black, laced with replacement polished, stainless steel spokes, the stock rotors polished on exchange.

I know I'm biased, but PLEASE believe me!...

...THESE PICS DON'T DO IT JUSTICE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will post more pics when available!

At the shop that I take my scooters to, there had been this SWEET set of rims that were just sitting there for a month or two. About the time my rear tire needs replacing and I'm contemplating a new set of 21fr x 18r wheels, I start to get curious. I have been saving for a tour pac to complete my "ultra-package", but every since I chromed my forks and put on the custom fork bells the bike has been SCREAMING for some wheels to bring it out! I did not want to spend 3500-5500 large for some bling bling rims..... I had seen some really bitchin and MEAN looking baggers sitting on 16" blacked out spokes, or chromed out OEM 16" rims, but i could not picture a working combo on my bike.
........But there was something about these rims that was just arresting me! So I ask the shop owner what the low down was on these rims? He says this guy ordered up those wheels and had not been heard from in two months. The owner said if the guy did not show up soon he was going to sell them, because the guy did not put down a deposit for them. (The guy who ordered the rims was the friend of a loyal customer, so on good faith the shop owner did not take a down payment). They guy turned in his rims, the shop pulled out the internals, sent the rims to powder coat, then re-laced them with all new polished stainless spokes.
I asked the owner much did he want out the door? The price he quoted for the rims mounted, balanced, and new rear tire, plus tubes was less than the price of one 18" rim in a 21/18 combo package I was contemplating!!!! At this point I got all "Glenn Beck-ish" and I heard "His" "still small voice",
....I believed, ...and then I acted on it!!! HAHAHAHA!

Sounds like your satisfied. Seriously though!, I would of dropped the Hammer on the 21/17-6/25" rims. 18" back rim?,... was told when I was SPENDING my hard earned green backs that the 18" does funny things. 21" front wheel is just, TO Pretty! I'm sayin 2,2,2,2-Bad.

If I had an '09 with the new frame and wide rear tire from the factory (like you) I would. But I have an '08 which came with the 16" wheels so 17 x 6/25 won't fit on mine without another $1800 spent on a wide tire conversion kit on top of the $4-5,000 parts and labor for some NICE 21/18's. So that was out. I wanted to save cash, plus I was loathe to change riding characteristics, and reluctant to sink money into rims and tires when I NEED a tour pac, handle bars, and seat with back rest. Plus, i did not want to look like all the other RUB's out HERE in Southern California.... I was feeling going against the grain!!

Maybe later I'll get a 21", but for now this looks BETTER than stock

Ahhh, ya took the SCREAMN away a little bit,... but shes still whining a tad. They look good though man. You have a KILLER Bike, I do love the Anniversary Colors. When H.D. came out w/the 09's I contiplated myself for a while, coming off a 05 FLHTSE-2. Owning a 2001 FLTRSEI2 that my X-Ol Lady made me sell, it was a, as they say in Dances w/Wolves,..."Good Trade".
