Friends & Riders ! This is your first notice and request for help - I've chatted with the ADMINS and gained their permission for YOUR help with a 2018 Charity Effort. Here ya go:

1. Please post here your suggestions for a charity.
2. It must be IRS approved.
3. After we get nominations we will evaluate and post a Voting Poll.

The funds will be "ridden for" and or collected on one date (likely in June). Still working out the details on the collection.

BTW - the charity nominations can be Veteran, K-9, First Responder, PTSD, Burn Victims, etc, etc. I only ask that you consider a charity that is NOT one of the huge efforts that already brings in millions.

For veterans I like Pain Free Patriots

I also like suicide prevention such as Out of Darkness

PTSD in veterans and first responders is also an issue near and dear to me.

I'm all for supporting veteran causes also, as we all know that the VA falls woefully short of what most people consider to be good and fair treatment. I thought a good one was the Disabled American Veterans charity was a good one, but got to researching and found that they only rate a D by the American Institute of Philanthropy. So I took a look at those that rated an A. Based on that, my nomination is the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.

Yup. Too many charities take out way too much of the donated money for "administration".

Red Cross is always there for Veterans and for any other disaster relief.

National Ovarian Cancer Coalition - Nowhere near the popularity of breast cancer, but many women die each year. My wife has been fighting it for 2+ years now and we volunteer with them.

The American Kidney Foundation. You never hear or see any support for people that are devastated by Kidney Disease.
