Glad my story and the frustration I went through can help others.

When I asked the service rep at my dealer about changing the code, they told me what it was set to. They did say, that if I changed it, I should let them know so they could load the new code into their system. I can see where that could be helpful if I ever could not remember what the code was.

At least you didnít do the stupid thing I did. I lost one of my fobs, so I purchased another one. It costs $50 by the way for the fob and programming. Two days later I found the fob I lost in my recliner. At least now I have three.

I set it to a PIN I use all the time.

well, I guess it's good to have a spare, but only two can be programmed to your bike at any one time. so you have a 'non working' spare if you ever lose a fob again, but you'll still have to pay to have it programmed.

I understand the concept of reality, but find it too confining for a way of life.
