15RGS to 18RG?...for under $2K?..no brainer IMO..(if its a RGS/RGU run and buy it) but then again you're right, its none of my concern.
You are correct. Mine is a 15 Special with a lot of $ in it and the one Iím looking at is not a Special. Itís just that this individual is willing to pay for a lot of what Iíve done where as we all know a dealer wonít.
As much as Iíd like to upgrade if there is an issue with the M8 it would be just my luck to get one.
Spending 2000 or 200 wouldnít be much fun if it was always in the shop.
Thanks for your input

Galaxy 9+ and now comes the new Note from Samsung. Hard to know when you buy unless you buy when the need/want is greatest or most relevant. I'm sticking with my 2015 for a while longer if not my forever bike. Nothing against the M8s, just have too much into it to get anything out of it.

Wonít bother me because I upgraded to stage 3 at purchase. Does not matter what cubic inch stock motor they put in it to me. All the stock motors are dogs until at least putting a cam in.

I traded my Ď13 Roadking that had a stage 2 that was pulling 98 hp and 106tq for a Ď17 RGS. Donít regret it at all. The M8 pulls like a horse with only stage 1 and mufflers. I canít wait to do a stage 2 over the winter.

If it is near perfect, why spend money on a new bike? Whatever you get, the next year's model will have something that will be tempting. I buy the best that I can afford, take excellent care of it, and run it forever. Having no debt is nice, but that's what I am comfortable with.

Whatever you decide, have a great, safe time on it! :-)

If you can't find time to ride the 16 there's no point trading up to a 18 that you won't ride.. Now if you rode it like I ride mine than absolutely trade up...

Not matter what we say, you have to go ride one and make the determination for yourself.

Traded my much much loved 2015 shark in on a 2018 shark. I had a lot of money, time, blood, sweat and tears invested in my 2015 and it was set up perfectly for me.

I'm slowly but surely falling in love with the 2018. Overall I think it's better in several small ways that all add up to being a better touring bike than the 2015 was. More torque, pulls like a freight train right where you need it. Suspension changes up front were welcome by both me and the Mrs.

I miss my 2015, but I don't regret buying the 2018....... knocks on wood.

For me, going from a 15' to the new bikes wouldnt be as enticing if it were only about the new motor. Its the changes to the front suspension and the transmission that would win me over. Your shift points are much smoother and better mapped from factory, and the front suspension manages grooves and bumps MUCH better. If it were a ton of money out of pocket, I would stick with the 15 since it is already set up how you like it, and you could find a close comparison after a tune and some suspension work. But like you said, if its only little to nothing out of pocket....shit id jump on the m8!
