Fall is my favorite time to ride, great scenery and actually have time to get out on the bike.

Sigh. No riding here. This equates to 12.9" of snow.

Yep, love this time of year. The mornings will be in the 30s very soon, but throw on a couple of layers to peel off later and itís still awesome. Only downside is the debate between on the bike or up a tree in search of Bambi. As mentioned the Adirondacks are beautiful and always spend a weekend down 28/30 through Scoharie county to Ashokan and Woodstock. The taconic parkway from white plains to albany is another 100 mile stretch of pure color at its best once youíre north of the city. For short trips I can be in old forge in 45 minutes easy and the salmon river fish hatchery is a must when theyíre running hard. We pay for it in the winter, but fall upstate riding is simply amazing.
