That's what I did. Not a fan of the HUGE tourpak. Lol. The chopped will hold all my camping gear tent and all. And my rain gear and I think my chair. And it looks pretty cool. Or "Stylin"

I went with Advanblack, I wanted a razor and color matched latch and hinges tho. I am very happy with it. The hardest part was the wait.

I wasn't a big fan of a full size detachable tour pack for my 2019 RGS so I went with a compact. Now instead of putting on the standard small backrest pad that comes on compacts, I put on a the full or large backrest. Now the issue with this decision is if you order a compact tour pack it does not come drilled for the larger backrest (yes, the lid's are the same but drilled differently between small & large backrests) so I drilled this myself by measuring out my buddies Ultra Classic. The dealership wanted to charge me 2 hrs to do this and I said forget it I'll do it myself. Attached are some pictures and as far as I know I'm the only one in my dealership area that has this setup.

I see a lot of press for the chopped tour pak. I don't know about that. I know the way my wife packs and I am glad I have the king size HD pack. Beware the Advan Black is a bit smaller than the 14+ King set up from HD. We are planning to do 11 days on the bike camping at Sturgis. I am going to be damn glad to have the king size pack I know. Every CI is going to matter.

Also, the wife wanted the wraparound seat. She doesn't ask for much. Seemed reasonable and I have to say it has been pretty convenient running to and from work.

This is true. I had an Ultra. I couldn't hear them speakers. No amp. That would have helped. But if I didn't turn my head. I didn't hear them.

OP said he wanted rear speakers....only reason I mentioned it. Also I can here mine just fine....I just have to adjust the fader a little more to the rear. I don't have an amp either, just upgraded speakers...and they are Harley speakers.

Oops. I lost track of the original question. It happens. He could also opt for speakers in his lowers if he went chopped. I will have them eventually. Mine had all upgraded speakers. Bike used to belong to 08Zinc. Dont know what it was. Never was able to adjust it to hear it. Even the wife said she barely heard them.

Well I called horney toad Hatley and Reggie doesn't work there anymore. I did have them price out a king tour pac With wrap around seat, luggage rack, and quick release as well as. Olor matched. The quote was 1200.00.that is half of what I got quoted here in Vegas. I will be ordering it this weekend. I didn't go with the speakers. They told me I can't do removable with them. I don't really want to ride with the pack installed all the time.
