The Ornery One’s RG stolen at Daytona

I don’t know how many of you all watch their videos but their husband and wife team are two of the most genuine Motovloggers out there.

They seem to be taking things in stride. I just can’t imagine what I would do in their position.

If you want to have your bike stolen, bikeweek is the best time to make it happen. No implying anything. Happens alot in Florida.

Low life scum bike thief deserves to be dragged down Main St. behind the bike he stole with the owner at the controls. I have a very low tolerance for crooks and thieves. I will say that the owner was a lot more calm than I'd have been - even though this was obviously an hour or more after they discovered it stolen.

Wow, they handled that better than most! Bike thefts are so common at that rally. Last time I was at Daytona rally was with my brother and some friends in 03. We parked our bikes outside hotel room in the parking lot with a kryptonite lock through all the front wheels and bikes were fine overnight. However ,the guys in the next room weren't so lucky. They had their customized sport bikes stored inside a trailer parked right next to our bikes and when waking up the first morning of the rally, the trailer and their bikes were gone.Needless to say, the rally was ruined for them. Felt bad for those guys!

That's my worst fear when on the road to and from the Shark Week's... Waking up in the morning and peaking out the curtain to nothing...

You can't thief proof your bike but definitely can make it more difficult for them where they just will go to the next bike, for instance as a previous member stated, kryptonite locks, I have there NY noose and we lock up two bikes together, as well as park the bikes I'm from the of your room or a well lite area, and a cover also keeps things tomed down IMO they will just look for another bike worth more for an easy lift. But yes you must be pretty ballsey to do that at bike week cause you don't know who's bike you fucking with, if it's one of my guys and we catch you , your getting wheeled out feet first to the med center if your lucky, no respect, and I have zero tolerance for thieves and cowards who also abuse animals, bottom feeding trash who needs to get there ass beaten with an inch of there life. Rant over.

When all else fails, hell there is always beer!

I have stayed in some real dives and near the mexico border and never had a bike messed with. I would just take the insurance money and move on. Life is too short.

When I use my trailer I put cable locks through each wheel of the trailer, add a tongue lock, and the coupler lock.

The trailer also has jack stands under the back with the tongue too low to hook up to a hitch.

The bike is parked in the back of the trailer with the handlebars locked. If someone makes it all the way to hooking up the trailer the first thing that will happen is the bike will fall over and the weight on the rear of the trailer will make the trailer sway and hopefully wreck the thieves tow vechicle.
