I already have the lids from my original saddlebags, that's why I was hoping there was something a little more affordable.

Harley and affordable are two words that really don't work in conjunction with each other......

The bike is new and the weather sucks!

loved the sound with the stock Boom head unit, added the Sony XAV-5000, now it rocks with the EQ adjustments, better quality ect....love it but yeah now I just need the damn snow to melt

I have a buddy that had the kit installed at one of the big get togethers. Kit looks nice. Speakers, to me, leave a lot to be desired.
I have seen guys selling the speakers that came with the kit that were never installed.
All depends what your looking for sound wise

I gotcha and I completely understand where you're coming from. I never found a different way to mount speakers without either using the RF kit of buying lids. If you want to buy lids, there are tons of configurations and speaker sizes that you can pick from. The 2 biggest things with the RF kit was that I didn't really have to put any thought into placement, cutting, etc because they had already done that and I didn't have to source new lids or pay for paint. On the upside, if the RF speakers ever crap out, my lids are already set up for 6x9s. Lol
