I'm here to tell you the best money I've spent on this bike yet has been the Magic Strobe. I'm seeing cars stop much farther behind me than they used to, especially at night. I should've bought one years ago.

First mod I made to my bike after I bought it was to put a Bright Ass Light tail light on it. A lot of people bitch about it but they all slow down way back before they get close to me. God's speed on a fast full recovery!

Absolutely! I spent $500 on lighting up the rear of my bike like an F'n Christmas Tree for this very reason! Glad that you're alright for the most part, and will recover! To many distractions for drivers today!

You are alive and well enough to be writing a post about your accident. That's top shelf man, I am very sorry you got run the F over but glad you're not way worse off, as many are. That is/was a gorgeous bike, btw. Best wishes on your next adventure, regardless of the number of wheels under ya

okay. so it's been a couple of weeks, and the emotions aren't quite so raw.

progressive dropped off the check for the cvo today. so i promptly went down to the harley dealer and spent it.

and of course, being as how we're a 2 bike family, the wife just couldn't stand that i was getting a new bike and she would still have her 2012, so we made a two-fer deal at the dealer. it ended up costing a little more than i would have liked, but we really got a fair deal. damn gov taxes was quite a bit, almost 10% here in la.

no pics yet, but in true skratch fashion, i went completely opposite what i had done before. my road king was white, so when i bought my first road glide i went denim black. then i went to the flashy cvo. this time, vivid black. i wanted the scorched orange, but they didn't have it, and no dealer nearby wanted to trade. i didn't care for the other colors, so i went with black. besides, parts are cheaper front fender on the cvo was $1100....

wife liked the industrial grey denim.

so 2 road glides, no mods, 2 x 5 year esp, and i'm back in the water again. didn't get to ride them home, doc hasn't cleared me to ride yet, so they will be delivering them to the house monday. picked up a payment, so mods will be slow in coming, plus, there is the warranty implications to think of, but we will be riding new bikes with the new infotainment system (which means someones gonna have to come find us when it gets us completely lost in bumfuk nowhere, lol) but life will be good again.

tomorrow will be spent taking off as many aftermarket parts from the wife's bike that we can before i start work on sun with no time off for the next two weeks.

I understand the concept of reality, but find it too confining for a way of life.

and, wife did manage to grab a couple of pics. not much to look at, just 2 stock road glide specials.

(there are many like it, but this one is mine......)

and eddie, sorry didn't call before we came over to alex, but it was really a spur of the moment thing. as it was, we were in the dealer from about 3 to after 9..... will have to get together when i can ride again.
