My 2019 RGS started transferring at 4400 miles, I followed the HD process and had the 'slinger' fitted, 600 miles later I was back as nothing showing on the transmission dipstick.
When I was in the dealer discussing my transfer issue there was a HD tech there and he told me HD had tried the fat clutch rod, machining the casing and also fitting a seal, all well reported 'fixes' here and admitted that although they all slowed the transfer none actually stopped the transfer completely (under their monitored testing)
He said the reason is, the primary is creating a vacuum and 'sucks' the oil across rather than it being pushed from the transmission and said the best solution is the new vent kit which stops a vacuum being created.
I said OK fit and lets see, luckily he was carrying one with him and left it with the dealer to fit.
I do have a fat clutch rod waiting to fit but prepared to give HD one last chance.
I have spoke to the shop manager at my dealer and he said if the vent don't work they will fit the fat clutch rod and be done with it!
Time will tell.......watch this space!
