My first bike was made so long ago that the termites ended up eating the wheels off of it.
Actually it was a 1968 Yamaha Trailmaster 100 in yellow. It had 2 rear sprockets and came with 2 master links and a 4" piece of chain. You could convert it from "Street" to "Trail" in about 15 minutes. I was 15 when I bought that first bike, been riding ever since, although there were a few years here and there when family obligations left me with no scratch for a bike. The subject of my conversations with riding buddies lately always seems to come around to "How many more riding years do you figure you've got left?" I figure that with a little luck, I'm in the 5+ year range. I'll ride til I can't ride no more!
“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming “Wow! What a Ride!” - HST
