Hilton Double Tree. It puts you in walking distance of a lot of the Downtown, if the walk is too far for you to handle then they offer a shuttle service, they have a rooftop bar/lounge, the price is not great but decent, the rooms and beds are very cozy and comfortable and my favorite part is they have free chocolate chip cookies anytime you want.

I went to the museum twice. The first time, I also stayed at the Hilton Double Tree. I was by myself on my bike. The second time, I was with my wife (in a car) and we stayed a few miles out of town in Lake Geneva, WI. Real nice town with a lot of bars and restaurants. Much nicer than staying in Milwaukee.

Was up there in 2015. Can't help you within the city. We stayed in Oconomowoc for a woman's motorcycle ride in. The museum was great and so is the area. Was nice staying in a small town and not Milwaukee. I live in a city was nice to get away from the big town. Enjoy lots of good riding up there.

Iron Horse is just south of the museum, not sure what your looking to spend per night. Great Lakes Distillery is right there, Mobcraft Brewery, Fuel Cafe on 5th st, you have lots of options, all depends on what your looking for. Enjoy the museum.

A little off topic. But has anyone been on a Thursday night bike night? I have been to the museum on a weekend, just thought bike night may be kinda neat. A little over 4hr ride for me.
