2015 FLTRUSE CVO Coolant o rings on the head

Anyone with any experience replacing the o ring on the coolant system at the heads? I ve got everything apart but just cant get it all put back together. I can't seem to get the coolant tube to seat down into the adapter on the head far enough to get the little clip back in place to hold the tube down against the o ring. I've attached a pic.... any help would be great. I really don't want to have to put this together and take it to harley. thanks!!

I have not dealt with this before but have had problems with clearance fit type O rings which seal by resistance. Try lubing with something that is compatible with the O ring. Then heat the area to make the ring soft and pliable.
