Best way to protect rear fender from scratches from 2 up seat?

Going on a trip and have top ditch my solo seat for a Hammock seat. No passenger but have sleeping bag, pillow, and light jackets and stuff in bags on the seat. Whats the Best way to protect rear fender from scratches from 2 up seat? thinking of using blue painters tape. Any ideas?

I've always used those felt pads that you use on the legs of chairs to keep them from scratching the floor. I just stick them to the rubber parts that touch the fender as well as check to see if there is any other part of the seat that touches. The painters tape might be added protection but depending on how long it will need to stay on and how hot it gets there might be some glue residue you would have to clean off later. May not be that big of a deal though.

I have the same dilemma with my new scoot coming up for SW - Mine came with a clear film on it that I peeled off as I run solo 99.999% of the time.....but will have the back seat on to haul shit for a week of being on the bike

I like your idea Ken as was thinking this as well

I used to carry a bag on the rear fender of one of my bikes occasionally. This was about 20 years ago but I think they would still have it. I went to an auto parts store and bought a roll of this "static cling" window film. I cut a piece of it and whenever I used the bag I would stick that piece of film to my fender, when I was done using the bag I just pulled the film off and used it next time. It was thicker then window tint.

Good Idea, I'll look into that. It should will look better than blue painters tape. Thanks

For the road glide a member here turned me onto the fender trim that I think cvo's come with.
It is an HD part, I have been using it and it works becasue I use a two up seat and back to a solo sometimes.

Look it up, it just sticks on the fender with basically double sided tape.

I actually have a brand new set in chrome that I will sell if anyone is interested. Still in the packaging. Just shoot me a message. I'll also try and remember to list them with pics soon.

Went on a 1700k 3 day camping trip last week. My camping gear across the back fender. Two cross layers of electrical tape. Parked in the sun peeled right off no mess. 3m on the lids.
