It is built by Indian and it is called “challenger”:

I'll stick with my RG. I'm not a big fan of the lines on any of the Indian baggers. The Scout and FTR bikes aren't too bad looking though.

Just my personal feeling but "est. 1901".....wtf

The LOGO and NAME have been around around since 1901, went bust 3 or 4 times and then the name and logo pulled out of a draw in 2006 by makers of the skidoo (invented by Bombardier) and sport ATVs. .

The bikes, meuh... Copying MoCo, and jumping on the heritage band wagon makes me mad.

If they called themselves Indian Revival I might take it better....

A BMW guy reporting on Indian. Mmm.

Comments full of Harley bashing. I will go back to liquid cooled bikes kicking and screaming!

If my riding involved the need for liquid cooling I will hang it up. I no longer ride to work, but I get in 40 - 60 miles of curvy, shady, hilly, empty country roads before dinner.

Was "Scalper" already taken?

Agree on both, Taz. That Rocket 3 is hard to get out of my mind, but a third bike is not an option and I can't get rid of my Road Glide and I like the relative lightness of the Bonneville T120. But that single sided swingarm is sexy!

Until Indian gives us free beer at it's dealers I think not :)

The good thing about Indian offering so many extras standard on their touring bikes is that maybe just maybe HD may be forced to follow such as LED all around, FOB locking saddle bags, WHIM etc. Making us pay extra for all that when we just paid 25 - 28K for a new bike is a slap in the face.

If Indian ever builds up it's dealership network they will give HD a run for it's money.

Just saw the bike in person riding through my town today. Didn’t get a chance to snap a pic. Bike still had some camouflage on it but got a good idea of the looks. Front LED headlight section looked good and looking at bike from side looked very much like a Road Glide. Saddlebags are same as the latest Chieftain and has the Harley style light bar on rear fender. Seemed like it was riding along side a naked cruiser style bike also with some camouflage on it. Not sure if Indian is releasing another new model or a style change for an existing model

Was out riding today and spotted the Indian Challenger again for the second time in a week riding through my town along Route 66.Last time didn’t have chance to get a closer look but this time made a u-turn and followed catching up to him at a red light. Bike was still covered up a bit over sides of fairing and gas tank with camouflage covers. Was kinda surprised how big the bike seemed since rumors said it may be a bit smaller than the other bagger models. Looked like a full size bagger to me. The camouflage covers add a bit to the size too. The bars looked comfortable and looked more like mini apes and test rider said they were stock. I asked him how he liked the bike and he said it’s very quick and nimble and felt nice and tight unlike the bike I was riding lol. I just chuckled lol. Didn’t have time to chat more than that and didn’t get a chance to snap a photo. It’ll take more than a powerful motor to beat my Road Glide but from what I could see,Indian seems to have done a great job with this bike and the Road Glide could get a little competition in the near future

Took a nice ride to the Poconos from RI this weekend...added a pic...hopefully it doesn't post sideways...
Anyway I went with a buddy of mine who rides an Indian Springfield so we stopped at a couple of HD dealerships and also an Indian dealership (to be fair :)). Dealer told us that the new fixed fairing bike is NOT a full size touring bike! He said its on a smaller frame...not an Indian fan so I didn't pay too much attention...but what I did hear is that it is NOT a full size touring bike.

They only have 3 platforms right? The FTR and Scout, and then the Springfield, Chieftain, and Roadmaster are all on the touring frame.

From the picture that was posted with the Challenger behind the Scout....They looked like the same bike to me. So I'd say it's on the Scout frame.
