Did the Deal
Last week, I test rode a 2017 Road Glide. Cruise control work great. I swore that I saw a gear indicator (someone tell me if I was dreaming on this). I had the dealer put the CB on as part of the deal (yes, my group still uses CB and it is the most reliable communication to date for multiple riders). I picked it up right at closing (yeah, we won't go down that road). Any way, salesman was going through the bike with me and I notice the PTT button wasn't on it. I asked him "How do I transmit?" He said "Good question". He'll need to investigate that tomorrow. Everything else concerning the CB is on it. While riding it home, I couldn't get the cruise control to come on. I pushed on the button, held the button in, held it up, held it down, nothing. Read somewhere if the brake lights are on, it won't work. Brake lights function. No gear indicator.....again, I swore it was showing last week during the test ride. Got to bring that up as well tomorrow.
Wonder if maybe flashing for the CB had to do with any of these missing issues, minus the PTT button.
Oh yeah.............they can't find the freakin' keys to it!
Starting to get buyers remorse.

Gear indicator is in the speedometer you are not mistaken. My guess is the clutch switch. If you pull clutch in the indicator goes out as the ecm is giving the gear according to speed and engine rpm not actual gear selection. Hope this helps. As far as cb operation I cannot help there.

Also would assume the cruise not functioning would be result as well. If you push in the light on speedometer should light up orange. Then pushing cruise switch down should then set the speed and turn indicator light to green.

What side is your cruise button showing on? I believe there were folks that were upset that the cruise button was moved to the left while the PTT was on the right. Many folks had them swapped around by the dealer to be like they were used to. Perhaps your cruise and PTT buttons were swapped back.

They need to install the switch pack with the PTT button. Nothing will work without it. Did you buy an ultra?
