so i clicked it & there's a nice picture of what the beast is gonna look like,
but i really posted the article, cuz someone in it commented that the PA is the 'lovechild' of a Road Glide & an Africa Twin.
...... i don't 'see' the RG genes, but if there's any in there, that's gotta be a good thing
...... and ........ i don't know what an Africa Twin is, so maybe i oughta look it up & find out if i can get a test ride

A year ago this was going to be the highlight of the 2020 introductions. But it didn't happen, so we got a reintroduction to the Liveware in its place.
As of this Monday, the new wet motor has not been certified by CARB. So this scooter and its follow on brethren are still a ways off.
Yes a solid platform and a bike you can easily live with day to day.
I took an extended test ride on a used one back to back with KTM's Adventure R and Super Adventure bikes.
The KTMs were like riding thoroughbred race horses. Exciting, challenging, but not something you would want to live with every day. Excessive heat from the rear cylinder and high spirited.
The Honda on the other hand was like a well worn trail horse. It knows the way home and will always get you there, but no excitement.
I don't see any Road Glide DNA in the bike (it may be below the surface), but my first impression was Fat Bob adventure bike. And that is just a superficial evaluation. I've read in a few different source that adventure bikes are the fastest growing segment of the motorcycle market and it's no surprise that HD is possibly looking at entering the ADV market. The MoCo needs growth if it's going to continue to be around. I for one think the diversification is a good thing overall, any new technology developed from HD spreading into new territory could easily find its way into the bikes we ride everyday.

I am one of the lucky ones who has a Road Glide and an Adventure bike. I bought my first BMW R1200GSA just over two years ago and all I can say is why did I wait so long. 125 hp on a 600 lb bike with 7 1/2 inches of suspension travel and very comfortable.
As I was touring this great country I started to notice roads I would like to take but they were dirt or gravel and didn't want to take my shine Harley down them. There are great places to go on an Adventure bike like the Alpine Loop in Silverton Colorado or Monument Valley as well as out your back door. I have put 28,000 miles on my Adventure bike in the last 27 months and love it. Harley is late to the party as always. I just hope they don't miss the mark too bad. There are a lot of very good bikes in that market segment right now and it will be tough for them. I have been riding Harley's all my life, buying my first new one in 1976 and would love to own a true Harley adventure bike. I hope they just don't wait too long to get that bike on dealer floors. I expect it to take them some time to get it right and hope they don't price it too high for the market like the Livewire. If they do it will not sell at a rate high enough for them to keep it around and improve upon.
Harley has had an adventure bike on the market for quite some time now (at least according to this guy). Its called the Road King. He goes places and does things I would never considered possible; especially crossing the river on a pedestrian rope bridge. (I think he may be slightly off in the head too.)
Read about this guy years ago. That Road King got around ,all over South America, the Middle East and Africa. Pretty impressive what folks can do with their Harleys lol
