Tour pack questions

I just bought a tour pack off an 98 ultra (I believe). I have a 2003. It came with a quick disconnect bracket but, I don’t have the mounts to use it. I have quick connect brackets for a backrest but they don’t work for this one, puts it too far forward and low. I don’t know exactly what I need to make it mountable and adapters for the two plugs for speakers and lights. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure of the differences between model years, but I have a quick disconnect tour pack, and the back rest for the passenger uses different mounts. So, there are two sets of quick disconnect mounts - one for the TP and another for the backrest.

For the backrest, you have the 53803-06 mounting kit. For the tourpak, you will need to purchase the 53804-06 kit. Both need to be mounted to switch between the two. I know with the 2006 and later HK radios you would need to flash them to recognize the rear speakers, not sure about the Radio Sound unit in the 03. You will also need to buy the rear audio overlay harness I believe.

This is great info, thanks! You dont happen to have a picture of both mounting kits installed, do you? I have been wanting a TP for my 08, but I have a stretched bad dad fender and the pictures I see online probably wont work.

I went to HD today and bought the mounting bracket. TP is on now. I also ordered Kit # 70113-08, a detachable tour-pak light harness. Now I need to figure out what overlay harness I need. Another factor in this equation is, an aftermarket radio. It has a Aquatic AQ-MP-5BT-H. Anyone have any suggestions on that? part?

One pic from instruction sheet shows both installed. Other pic is from my 08 ultra when I made the pak detachable and made quick connections in the harnesses.

Thank you very much! Also, damn, pretty sure that wont work on my fender without cutting it up. Looks like I will have to fab something up to work with the sissy bar mount.
