Sold the RGS last weekend. Hands can't work the bars/levers anymore, and it's no fun walking past the pig everyday. Hoping to be back on two wheels by next spring, maybe with some phys therapy and wonder drugs. Who knows.

I had 2 strokes a couple a months a part in the summer 2 yrs ago. I didn't take therapy from the hospital, but I have 2 great grands who take karate and they came everyday to crack my joints. I rode 2 more years until one day I fell over riding into a dirt driveway and broke my left ankle when the left saddlebag caught me and slammed my head into the dirt. So I bought a 07 Suzuki 1500 trike. I researched the different types and found a Harley trikes belt has to be adjusted every 1,000 miles. Not for me. The driveshaft models has the oil changed every 30,000 miles. This is a no brainer.

Sorry to say I haven't been over here in a long time. My hero is Bbally and I came back looking for a thread from Buffalo Bob.

I've been thinking of stuff like that. I did a easy-pull clutch mod on the bike just sold, but it wasn't enough. Problem goes beyond grip strength--weakness/numbness in the arms, so it affects the ability just ride and handle the machine. Goal is to come back next year on a RG-something. Maybe new, maybe an older model or a build. Another motivation is to get back on the dirt as well, lots of dirt riding left to do here in CO. But that's far more demanding than a cruiser. Seen a lot of posts from people on this forum who have had it waaaaaay worse than me, and they are either back riding or working towards. See if I can't live up to that kind of badassery.
