I've seen these threads on other forums, and they can go on forever. Just some place to post what you might have done in any particular day.

I'll start with this past weekend. I went out Sunday morning intending to ride down the road, any road. When the first 40mph gust of wind hit me, I changed my mind and headed over to Iron Pony instead. It being early Sunday, and the service dept was open, I decided to get the new tires I was needing. So, a few dollars later I ended up with two new Dunlop American Elites and new pads on the front brakes. They were out of the Metzler ME880's, but these are new model Dunlops, and it appears they only make two sizes so far, both just happen to fit my bike. Web site says more sizes coming in 2011. Only have about 300 miles on them, but so far they seem to be good tires. Holds the wind well :D (Sunday was VERY windy, almost got blown over getting off the bike)

Next up, Progressive 940's are on the way.

gotta get back on that horse and ride, thermo.

today is the first day of the rest of your life lol
Just been too busy. Got a house one of my kids was living in that I'm trying to get on the market before school start. And before she changes her mind and tries to move back in.

Spending 5 days a week down there, and need to have the truck with me. Not that I have any energy left at the end of the day to take a ride.

After working in the 90+ heat and humidity of central MD over the last couple of weeks I have come to a conclusion. I have to turn over a new leaf, and put my barbarian ways behind me. Hell is just going to be too hot for it to ever work out in the long term.

It's also occurred to me that I don't speak enough languages to ever move back to Montgomery county.

understand about the kid thing, and don't relish the thought of ever having to mop up after them.
humidity wears me down, too, and don't spend much time in it if i can help it. that's why god made air conditioning!
don't get the reference to montgomery county but i'm willing to listen!

Third day to spend cleaning on it from the SW trip, should be done today! Of course raining today and forecast for 2 more days, FINALLY got some rain (needed it!), so no complaints.

Montgomery county has a lot of foreigners. Legal and otherwise. The legal's are mostly embassy staff and families, as well as nationalized ex staff. The illegals are about Montgomery county not requiring aid recipients to be citizens and basically being a sanctuary county.

I was in Walmart in Germantown and as a English speaking pale face was very much in the minority. The crowd was probably 40% Hispanic, 40% African/African American, and 10% all others. In the checkout line the black family in front of me was speaking something that had some Arabic in it. Couldn't place it, but for sure, east African. The woman had their hijabs on. When they started to check out, they conversed with the cashier (also black) in straight up Arabic. When I went to check out, I could hardly understand the English the cashier was speaking. English was not her first language.

Not around here. This part of PA is very American as far as the store help goes. But then there isn't much low end subsidized housing to attract the third world.
I probably don't want to ask this question, but I have to. What does "very American" mean?
