Here is a shot with my spacer I made.

And a closeup.

Next I took the chrome tank console off and installed a gloss black console.

It was dirty under the console so I cleaned it up before I installed the new one.

I kept the CVO fuel door because it has the CVO badge on it. And I also kept the CVO insert because it is metal and the one that came with the black console was plastic. Plus I think it just looks better. I am real happy with how this turned out. IHMO I think the black console looks better than the chrome one.

And the last thing I did was to pull the pin in the tree so I could roll the handlebars forward some since I didn't like how close they were.

That console makes a huge difference. Looks great.

Thanks, I can't believe I didn't take any pictures of the chrome console before I pulled it. But I wasn't thinking about that.

Removed the chrome fender supports, put on my black ones. They just seem to have disappeared until they are on, then my tombstone tail lights appear to be floating.!!!!!

Removed the fork reflectors which cleans it up and installed a Freedom 12" sport dark tint windshield(victim of this site). Looks better than stock and much more effective!

Rode on a local tractor drive to support our volunteer fire department. Tractors, jeeps, side by side, and motorcycles. Pretty much anything that someone wanted to bring for the poker run. Dang hot today but was worth it with all the friends. Had 81 vehicles entered. Only 3 bikes but hope to grow that number each year.IMG_20190630_152851547.jpg

Couple of things...

Replaced ignition wires with SE red. Was surprised to see a significant mark (pitted the insulation, due to ?) where the front wire touched the tank. Need to keep an eye on that. Added extra electrical tape on new wire in same area along with trying to secure the wire better.

Also replaced mid-frame air deflectors with chrome ones. Painted the edges that are over frame 'black' to make them look better. Not sure if Ill keep them or return to black, but they are different.

Exchanged my stock chrome saddlebag hinges with Eddie Trotta units. Painted their chrome units black on the inside.

Lastly, modified (a lot) the license plate bracket on my CVO style fender to accept a curved license plate frame.

Attached also is a gratuitous pic of the 'palm trees' I designed/made in my backyard in NJ (Mrs. & Mr. Bobinator), which is why I have 'palms' adorning the back of my tour pak.
