Arrow WHERE IS THE ROAD GLIDE FLAG and FLAG STORIES

FLAG UPDATE #1 07.18.2011

On Thursday July 14th I handed the flag over to Stray Mutt in Gettysburg Pennsylvania.

__________________________________________________ ______

Let us know where the flag is, where it is going and who it is with.

As most of you know, the Roadglide.org flag is now on the road with Stray Mutt (Ron). Since he traveled the farthest distance we thought it would be only fitting for him to take the flag out on the road.

He will be making his way back across the country so there will be some opportunities for those who could not be at Shark Week to catch up with the flag. The instructions are on the inside of the notebook and Ron will explain them to you too. Please try to limit the size of your signature. The flag will fill up and space will be at a premium.

Since we are a "secret society" we needed a secret. Ron has also been instructed to share the secret of the flag as to "Where Cleo the Bull Terrier is located on the flag" When you receive the flag and the secret it will be your duty to give the secret to the next holder of the flag and only to the next holder of the flag.

I look forward to watching the flag travels around the country and bring others together.

I was surprised and honored to receive the Roadglide.org flag when Hutmo unveiled it at Gettysburg. Indeed, Chris passed along the secret to me, and I look forward to passing it, as well as the flag, on to the next recipient.

I took the flag into the Shenandoah National Park and exposed it to Skyline Drive, a spectacular ride that seemed like a perfect first trip for the flag as many of the rally attendees traveled together through Maryland and Virginia. As a bonus it accompanied me to Delaware as I crossed that state off in my quest to hit all of the 48 Continental U.S. states. Upon leaving the 2011 Gettysburg Rally, it continued with me throughout the American south. At the moment I've got the flag with me in Pensacola, Florida, and I'm making arrangements with a special person that I've got targeted. I hope to take care of that within the next day or two.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank those responsible for creating this terrific concept, primarily Hutmo himself. I think it's a great way to bond Roadglide.org folks together, and I look forward to following the flag and its journeys as it moves throughout North America and maybe beyond!

What if the Hokey-Pokey really is what it's all about?

Turning the Flag Over to Chainsaw

FLAG UPDATE #2 07.20.2011

I traveled to Chainsaw's home, where he and his wife graciously welcomed me, fed me, and housed me for the night. I carried the flag from Gettysburg, through Maryland, West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, and finally, Kansas where I turned the flag over to Chainsaw. He now holds the secret too. It's been an honor and a pleasure to have carried the flag on my journey across the U.S. I can't thank Chainsaw and his wife enough, and I hope the flag continues to bring others the adventures and sites that I was able to enjoy while carrying it. Many thanks to all of those who made this idea possible, and I wish the flag all my best as it continues its travels.

Wow. Ron, you look like your are burnt to a crisp...

This is cool. I may have to ride over to Kansas some day... Appropriate person for the handoff too.

Flag Handover

Ron,

Great pic... you have the look of a true Roadglide Warrior!

Neil (Chain), Now that you possess the flag and its secret, the ball is now in your court. Go meet someone new from the forum. This is very exciting.

Thank you for raising the funds to make the flag program possible in the first place.

Im tickled pink to get the flag so soon. I figured it would bump up and down the east coast and would be years before I saw it and got to sign in. I have a few ideas on whom or where I'd like to pass the flag and its secrets off to. Straymutt is a cool guy, and was fun to kick back with a beer and hear some good road stories from. 48 states all in 1 trip,.. thats a hell of an acomplishment. Good luck the rest of the way Ron, and I hope you get home safe and sound.

Well its been a month since the flag has travelled and been handed off to Chainsaw. Where is it now? Hopefully displayed proudly in a prominent place or tucked securely in a saddlebag travelling down the road.

Still sitting at my house Doing my best to get with the guy I want to pass it off to, but we have both been very busy. With the weather seeming to cool down some, I think we can make it happen here soon.
