if you got a fat head like me the shark xl is too small, i got the valliant in 2x and then put in the 3x cheek pads, it fits great. buy a helmet online get it from revzilla their return policy is the best anywhere. the valliant came with the pinlock, not all do check before ordering.

Looking at the Simpson mod bandit as well. Usually ride with half helmet but want to look into the modular for cold weather riding. Any outlet on best prices for Simpson helmets?

Certain things I just go to revzilla because of how fast and easy their return policy is. If and when I do decide. I'll be buying it there.

Got the Evo One 2 and tested it out yesterday. I love it! The only downside are the cheek pads. They are way too big. I took out 2 of the 3 layers of foam in them and now it fits fine. I'm looking for a set of 25mm pads but they are out everywhere. These will do I just don't like the loose fabric floating around on the hollowed out pads. The top fits fine. The ventilation works great. The exhaust integrated into the rear spoiler is brilliant. It feels like the spoiler creates a little vacuum pulling the air out the back of the helmet. It's very quiet and visibility is good. The chin bar flips up and down easily. I can do it with one hand and just push down on each side to lock it down. I don't need 2 hands but it is easier locking it with both.

I paired the helmet with a Cardo Freecom 4+ I'm good to go. The Cardo sounds AWESOME with the 40mm JBL speakers. I actually rode around listening to the Cardo instead of my new Sony 7000 with the Biketronics amp. The helmet isolated the outside noise. It felt like I was in a studio. There are some negative reviews about the sound of this unit but those people probably didn't install it in the proper location. I have it right by my ears like you should and I have full deep sound. I have lousy hearing so if I say it sounds good take that to the bank! I called my wife going 50 mph and she said it sounded like I was home. She heard no background noise at all! I can't speak for the intercom between bikes I didn't use and don't see me using that in the future or I would have gotten the Packtalk with mesh. I just wanted the JBL's and the voice commands so the FC4+ fit the bill. The voice commands worked about 80% of the time. I hope I can correct that as I get used to it.

Awesome. I'm glad to hear it. I'm leaning back towards the Shark now. I'm sure most of the people that bought it have the same chhek pad issue. Probably why you cant find them anywhere. Shark will be at the IMS in Cleveland in January. I'm sure Simpson will be too. This way I can try them both out. But them damn CD headlights are nagging to be bought. So it's a helmet or lights purchase for 2020. Need to reel in my spending. Lol.
