Stingray vs Thresher

I have a new RG and was considering a Long Ride Shield. There are two to chose from. What are the pros and cons of each type? Which one blocks the most wind? Which is best for riding two up?

I have the same question, but LRS just released those shields in the last week. I don't think you will find anyone who knows for a while yet.

The price point on the sale is pretty good so I purchased a Stingray to see how it works.

I think the Thresher is more like a Freedom Shield standard and the Stingray is more like the Freedom Shield Sport. The stingray has some curves, but both have the re-curve at the top. I purchased the Stingray, 14", that is the one that is in the pictures on their website. For the price though you could buy both and you still haven't spent the price of just one of the other shields.

I have a LRS shield on my 10 now that resembles the Thresher, it works very well. I decided to take a chance and try the Stingray for my 16. As mentioned above you can't beat the price, and it looks good, I'm hoping the functionality will match. I ordered a 12" light tint.

While I can't speak to a forum discount, they will give you $20 off any purchase over $50 if you send them an old MC License Plate for their collection.

I'm pulling the trigger on both of these tomorrow. It will be a little while before I can review them due to the still rather crappy weather here in the northeast.

As soon as I can I will do a review on each of them.
