I have been on the forum for some time now. I enjoy the discussions about rides, events and problem solving. The past few nights i have spent time reading the posts in the Safety section. It has been great to read threads then cause me to stop and remember what it takes to enjoy our great pass time.

Many of the posts are older but they have been a refreshing spring to drink from. Thanks to all who have shared some GREAT advice.

Carry a tire plug kit and a electric air pump, DC of course. Walmart sells them. The one I got is about the size of a couple packs of cigarettes.

yup carried a portable electric tire pump for years and finally got to use in in 2017 west of Nashville returning from the Patti's run , also carry CO2 as well ..

I have to have a hi viz vest at work and wifey found me a good one that is mil spec instead of the cheepos the company was handing out , I go in to work at night and I started wearing the vest riding in to work .. Now I always wear it at night when riding .. Years ago had reflective strips on the skid lids also , need to do that again ..

Oh, not really a safety thing, but learn how to use your over-ride code if you have the fob security system. It could save you a lot of headache.

I'm sure Belray meets or exceeds certification. I wouldn't worry about it.
