Still going to be a couple days, maybe, before State Farm gets back to me on the estimate that Emerald Harley sent in with photos. Just wanted to share what has happened since my last post.
The 15th they said they just needed to take some photos and email the whole package to State Farm. I go back in the 17th because State Farm still hadn't gotten anything. They tell me it's all done but they can't find the email address. Really?!!!! How hard is it to pick up the phone and call me. Whatever! I give it to the guy at 10:30am and leave extremely pissed off. He still doesn't email it for another business day. State Farm has the email time stamped, can't remember exactly, around 11am the 18th. Anyway, here's the part that really pisses me off and makes me want to tell everyone to beware when dealing with Emerald. They drop my bike off yesterday and without a single phone call leave it sitting out next to the street with the key in the glovebox. That's not standard protocol for a pick up/delivery from a dealership. The driver is supposed to call and make sure a particular time is going to work so you can meet them there and accept delivery. Are they really that pissed off that I came in so many times in the last 19 days to inquire why they couldn't get an estimate done in nearly three weeks time that they'd just leave my bike sitting next to the street? Not impressed at all, to say the least. Can't really say if Sound Harley in smokey point is any better but they're not part of the Eastside/Emerald crew so if I HAD to deal with a dealer again that's where I'd go for sure. Maybe destination Harley. I would definitely, if I were any of you local folks, steer clear of Emerald Harley's service department. Actually wondering if someone there wasn't hoping that the bike would go to a local auction so they could try to pick it up cheap. That's probably just the pessimist in me though, always seeing the bad in people. Okay rant over. Thanks for listening...or reading I guess.
