I am a HOG member and I have Progressive. Despite what many have said I had a great experience with a claim. A close friend of mine had to make a claim with Geico on an open and shut case and they would not pay to completely fix his bike. A city bus hit him and everything from statement from the bus driver to the police report was in his favor. Long story short he had to hire a lawer and miraculously got paid everything to put the bike back the way it was plus they even paid the 8 months of payments for him that the bike was down and he was unable to ride it. But it took a very good lawyer to threaten them before they did it. He went through so much hell dealing with GEICO that me nor any of his friends will ever do business with them. Blast Progressive all you want but I think they all have their downside at times.

Every insurance company has it's down side. Mostly it involves a claim adjuster that doesn't like you, like motorcycles, or his wife kicked his ass the night before, etc.
I never mess around with any insurance company. If they don't pay up right away, I use an attorney. Auto, motorcycle or house ... get an attorney.
On the same note, I use Foremost and had a claim where my kid dumped one of my bikes. No problems paying, but they should have totaled the bike. Instead they directed the dealer to fix the bike. In the end, after 2 additional adjustments they paid more to fix the bike then I paid for it new.

I can't believe that these old post are coming back to life.
The original post was opinionated and politically motivated by it author and the last I knew discussion of politics was not allowed on this forum even if the author disguise the politics as an insurance post.
This thread should be deleted by the administrators IMO.

Never read the first post. I see what ironmark and pgr mean.
I suppose that the wealthy right don't control any corporations or big banks ... sure they don't.
The wealthy in this world control our politics. Both sides. We have a corruption problem in Washington D.C., which is influenced and paid for by corporate lobbyists.
But we can't live without certain things, like insurance. So we buy from whom ever is competitive in our location.

My pet peeve is shopping at Walmart.
Does anybody listen ... or do they just want cheap prices at the expense of the poor working people behind the register ?
We support those low wages in the form of government assistance to Walmart employees. Meanwhile, the Walton's are among the richest people in this country.

In other words, buy from who you want, pay whatever you feel is just, and don't tell me which causes to support.
Right or left, they are all a bunch of crooks.

Regardless of who you choose, make sure you pay attention to the coverage. When I bought my RG, there was a Progressive agent at the dealership because it was a special event. He quoted me a new policy that "would save me several hundred a year" It had less coverage.

Short version, shop smart and know what you're getting.
This is true. The company never had anything to do with it. Peter B Lewis used his personal money primarily to promote legalization of marijuana.
I work in the insurance industry (training adjusters). If you by HD Insurance or USAA Insurance, you're buying Progressive. This came about because Progressive made a huge commitment to these (well trusted) companies to be the best at MC insurance. That being said, I have GEICO because their cheaper.

Im no fan of George Soros , but fuck theirs a lot of fucking people im not a fan of , if i started to just drop companies because of the association of some people id be no better than the liberal faggots who cried foul of Trump ( "Im moving out of the country if he gets elected") . Look if Progressive gives a better rate maybe ill go with them, I don't believe everything i read or see ., look at all the asshole celebrities , there wouldn't be a movie or tv show or country or rock n roll musical act out there that i could watch if i followed those rules!

ON A POSITIVE NOTE SOROS NEEDS TO BE EXECUTED!
