I am trying to register my bike in Montana and the help desk at Harley Rider Services said that the original state (In my case Wyoming) have to send a written request to Harley for the title to be transferred to Montana. Anyone have experience moving around?
I just move to MO. DMV gave me a form that I had to send to the lien holder requesting the title be transferred to MO... similar, but different. 2 vics.
I didn't move but I bought my bike in Tennessee and registered it in Texas - The Tenn. dealer sent me the paperwork and I took it to the Texas DMV - Probably different than your situation because there is no Lien.
If you have a lien you dont have the title. Call the DMV and ask them what you need to bring to register it in Montana.
Then notify the lien holder of your new address.
Dont forget to tell your insurance company. Your rates may change.
I never moved with an outstanding loan so I just brought the titles to the DMV and registered in the new state.
