Raise Front Fairing for Lowers

My uncle bought a 2000 RG and gave me his lowers. I test fitted them to my 2007 RG, the top of the lowers seem to touch the front fairing to where they won't wrap around the bar fully. I stopped by the dealership and they suggested that I might have to raise the front fairing. So my question is, how do I do this?

2 ways :

The inner fairing has 4 bolts holding it to the mount. Access these by taking outer off and look toward the center behind all the wires. 2 bolts on each side, loosen them and raise up and bolt back.

2) - engine guard fairing mounts, loosen them and pull the back to raise up the outter portion of inner fairing. I would try this first

Will the front fairing have do go back down once I raise it?

Are these the non vented Roadglide specific fairings?
Yes, non-vented. My cousin asked if I have after market crash bars, but I don't think I do. Came with the bike and looked like my uncles on his bike.

Well, the left lower fairing goes into place, the right lower fairing doesn't and touches the front fairing.

Technically they should fit. In regards to fitment of the Road Glide specific HD Non-Vented Lower Fairings, there is no differnce between the 2000 and 2007 model. The best thing I can recommend is, check Harley's website and verify that the fairings your Uncle gave you match the appearance of the ones in the catalog first. Or, post some pics of them. If I could see some pics, I could tell you if they "should" fit. :)

They are non-vented. What kind of photo's do you need?

I just test fitted the left one, and it fit perfect (I didn't mount it, but it didn't touch the front fairing).

HD makes a non vented fairing lowers for the batwing bikes HD part # 58830-88DH. The non vented fairing lowers for the batwing bikes are a little bigger and the fairing cap is larger than the non vented Road Glide Specific lowers HD part # 58841-98.
If the non vented fairing lowers are the Batwing style they will not fit your bike right unless the upper fairing is raised.

I talked to a mechanic shop and they said most likely the front fairing bracket is tweaked? They said it bends easy...

The front fairing brackets are pretty stout and not easy to bend, you would have to drop or lay the bike down to bend the bracket IMO.
But if you have to replace the bracket you may as well buy the 2010 and later brackets and raise the upper fairing. JMO
If you look at the neck of the frame you can see the 2 long bolts that attaches the main fairing bracket to the frame. Pull the turn signals then loosen up the 2 main bolts you can then lift the front of the fairng some and tighten the bolts, You may have to make a adjustment to the side brackets to line the holes back up.
A bent crash bar may cause a problem with fitment too.

Thank you. I was tinkering with it for about 10 minutes a few seconds ago, how long are those bolts? The top bolt of the bracket didn't seem to want to come out, just kept spinning.

I'm thinking I should just take it to the dealership and have them do it, lol.

I didn't measure the bolt because I didn't need to but the bolts are about 4 or 5 inches long. To lift the upper up some you don't pull the bolts you just loosen the bolts then grab the upper in the front and lift and tighten the bolts back up.

I don't need to loosen all the bolts? Just the right side, correct? As for lifting the front, am I lifting it from the bracket or the front of the fairing?
