Luggage Rack

I am looking at putting a Air-Wing Luggage rack on my tour-pak with the LED light. I know the wiring for the light runs in the rack but has anybody had any trouble with the wiring being in the way inside the tour-pak? Thanks in advance for any feed back.

It's no problem. The wiring runs down throught the leg to the tourpack interior. The liner has to be taken out so I just routed my wires down the left rear of the tourpack. That puts them between the tourpack and the liner. The connector is on the front left of the tourpack. All the wires, except the where they come out of the leg are hidden. The leg to the liner is about three or four inches and I put heat shrink on the wires to protect them against the top of the tourpack.

I would suggest you wire it only as a brake light, the difference between run and brake brightness isnt all that much. Off/On is much more noticeable.

I am still debating on doing the same install.
I am leaning towards letting the dealer install it.
If I goof it up, there is no recourse.

I like the idea of using the third light as a brake only as suggested.

Best of luck to the OP.
