Bike of the month has been going now for a year come August. Thanks to everyone who has submitted throughout that time, and thanks to all who vote month in and month out. You have no idea how happy you make me when it goes smoothly and the submissions keep rolling in.
So since August is the 1 year anniversary for BOTM, we will hold special voting poll(s) to determine bike of the year. How this is going to work, is you will be voting on the 12 bikes that have won for the last year. You will vote on them how they were when they won BOTM. I know a few of these bikes that have won, have had huge changes done to them since then. Those changes will not matter when it comes to voting, as you will vote on them how they were at the time of original BOTM voting for each individual bike. It will be spread across 2 voting threads, as we can only have 10 options per voting poll. Since it will be spread across 2 threads, both polls will have the option for multiple choice. The reason Im doing this, is to try to make it as fair as possible. I ask that there be no cheating, panhandleing of votes on your facebook and/or other forums, or any kind of voting bots or any of that jazz. Its going to be a little different this time around, and if you like 2 or 3 bikes and can't pick 1 that you like best,.. by all means vote for all of your favorites since its possible this time around.
The threads and polls won't be created until the end of July, and will be open for most of August instead of just 1 week of voting like normal. The winner of Bike of the year will get,.. *drumroll*.. bragging rights. Hey, the winner already has a pretty damn nice bike obviously, what more could he need?
And their bike will be on the cover of the Bike of the year calender that Roadglide.org will be offering after the voting is finished.
So thats what will be going on soon. September regular BOTM will resume, and you can feel free to submit your bike now if you want. Maybe we could actually reach the max of 10 submissions which we have never done.
Thanks again everyone, and good luck to all you past winners.
