Was talking with @BH#103 the other day about a ride up to Doc's HD in Shawano Wi. For those that have not been there this is not your typical dealership. Sure they sell and service bikes and have your standard fare t-shirts, poker chips and walls of Harley catalog bolt-ons and whatnots. But they also have a classic car/bike museum, restaurant, antique store and exotic zoo to boot. To say this place is unique is an understatement. So I'm going to throw some feelers out there and gauge some interest and see how many we can gather for a nice ride on some great roads to an outstanding destination. I'm thinking towards the end of July but my schedule is flexible so let me hear your thoughts. https://www.docshd.com/index.htm?&r...com%252F%26usg%3dAOvVaw3Smg08h9LH1vttaWDj2lpV

I worked there for 5 years and no, that dealership is like no other that I have ever been to. If you make a day trip to the dealership, make sure you go next door to the BBQ joint and have some food and check out the museum wing of the dealership.

It will be a game time decision for me - This coming weekend, @BH#103 has penciled me in for a garage day to get the Heritage all gussied up with the pile of goodies I have for it - With SW getting closer, my days of disappearing for the day are getting numbered........so what I am trying to say is I have no idea what the OL will say

Sorry, first I have seen of this, it looks like a straight shot East for me on 29, so not too bad. 4 hrs one way though, what time were you thinking of meeting? Noon again? If I have nothing else going on, it seems like an interesting road trip.

@BB Bomber and anyone else that is interested. I'm thinking meet up at the BP station on Hwy 26, just off I 94 across from the Johnson Creek Outlet mall around 8am? We will be stopping over in Waupun to hook up with more at the Walgreens on Hwy 49 just off of Hwy 151. This should get us to Doc's just ahead of the lunch crowd.

Just giving this a little bump for those interested. meet up at the BP station on Hwy 26, just off I 94 across from the Johnson Creek Outlet mall around 8am or we'll see you at Docs. Feel free PM so we know to wait if you're interested at meeting at the BP.

Hope this went well if it happened. It was raining all morning here on the western side, and I had my bike in pieces again due to audio problems, I have found yet another pair of speakers that won't fit...

Well lets just say we had an interesting day! Had a bunch of guys bail due to concerns over the heat index and then the 40 percent chance of rain turned into an outright hurricane! Ride up was great met up with @BB Bomber and his buddy Duke, caught a few drops of rain about 30 minutes out. Arrived there about 10:30 and grabbed some grub for a late breakfast at the timeline cafe. And then the sky opened up, wind gusting and sideways rain that made you feel like you were on an episode of Deadliest Catch. Trees and power lines down and a total loss of power at the dealership compound. We caught a window in the storm around 1:30 threw on the rain gear and made tracks for home. Caught a pretty steady downpour by the time we hit the interstate in Appleton which turned to on and off for the wife and I where we parted ways on the south end of Oshkosh (although BB tells me they had rain all the way back to Milwaukee). All said it was less than ideal but that said it was great to catch up with BB again and honestly have no regrets and would do the same ride again without hesitation. I'll take an adventure out on the road over sitting at home any day. We will have to try this again before the end of the season, hopefully under better conditions. What do you say @SteadyEddie @BH#103 ?

If that's the experience you guys had then I'm glad I got to miss it. Glad you followed through and made it though! I'm in for whatever, just bad timing this time around. Getting to the Dell's is still on the list.
