Found this link on Google; coincides with JacktheBagger & BBB's posts. https://www.travelblueridgeparkway.com/fall-foliage/ If you have the flexibility to work with it; IT IS DEFINITELY WORTH IT. You will have to deal with a LOT of cagers, but still worth it, IMHO. Have fun! BTW: Probably don't need to say this but here goes: take a wide variety of clothing!

Leaves begin changing color at higher elevation, then works its way down....middle of October is peak time for elevation from 4,000-5,000 feet, almost all Blue ridge and parts of the Great Smoky Mtns....Have fun and ride safe.

You do know that peak fall is the busiest time of year on the Parkway. Tends to be crowded with sightseers from the east. all running 15 under the limit.

Depends on what part of the BRP you intend to travel.

Here is a useful link: https://www.countryliving.com/life/t...iage-map-2018/

Some folks seek the comfort of the straight and narrow. Me? I prefer the twisted road.

Me and a buddy was up in Maggie Valley last week for our annual riding trip to the mountains. Beware that there is a major “chip seal” road resurfacing project going on all over the BRP in the NC area, and imho they have really f’d up that road by doing that instead of asphalt. They even had signs up at all the entrance points warning motorcyclist and bicyclist not to ride on it. Eventually it should pack down and the loose stuff will get pushed off but that takes some time to happen. Aside from the obvious loose gravel concerns, that shit is also hard on your tires. With that said, there are lots of other great roads up that way to ride and enjoy the foliage. That’s my favorite place to ride, enjoy your trip!
