Thinking about a new jacket

I have a great leather jacket 8 years old in fine condition with zero complaints. Just toying with the idea of another jacket that might be a little lighter. I have been looking at this one for a while and it is currently on sale at a reasonable price.

Does anybody have it, or experience with it? Sizing wise, how do the sizes run, true to size? I usually layer up so it would be a shell, how cold are you riding in this jacket?

I usually wear an XL but several of the other HD branded jackets I tried on tend to run a little smaller (ok maybe I have grown a bit). I just hate buying clothing over the web.

TY

i switched from "cosmetic" leather last winter when i bought this:

the body armor is more important to me for abrasion and protecting elbows and shoulders.
it's good to about 40°F and with the liner removed til about 85°

sizing, like you said, runs a little small.
you can return through a local dealer if it doesn't fit...

I have that exact jacket. I love it. With the liner I'm good down to the 50s. Without the liner I've been in Alabama in July. It's my go to jacket. And the liner is waterproof. and it works. Trust me. I know. Lol.

I've got an Intake and a leather FXRG that I alternate between. Harley has really stepped up it's gear game during the past 5 years or so, and is selling some real quality pieces. I know several of their jackets and pants are made by Dainese, and that's good stuff.

I'm still wearing my 14 year old FXRG leather. Needs the zipper on the left arm replaced. But I see no reason to get a new leather yet.

I crash-tested a FXRG in 2011. It's still wearable, but I replaced it with another one as soon as I could get to the Harley shop.

TY all for your responses and feedback. I went to 2 dealers today to try one on but none in stock.

That's enough arm twisting, I ordered it this afternoon.

Sucks to crash test anything but it's good to walk away!

I got this anniversary mesh jacket last year. Different jacket but I just like wearing it in cool temps. No liner so the one you’re looking at will be even more useful.

I didn't want another Harley jacket, so I got one from First Mfg. Its listed as a shirt, however, it's pretty heavy, thicker than a shirt by far. Wears like a jacket and keeps the cold out.
I'm thinking about waxing it, to get some protection from the occasional rain we encounter in SoCal.
