First leather co. Raider jacket

Well fellows members this is my initial review if the Raider jacket by First leather co. Let me start off by saying they are a locally based company right in Oceanside NY been around since 1987, I called them first and there customer support on the phone was very helpful, they directed me to a MC shop in Freeport that specializes in MC clothing called Blackbeards, great people super helpful and very knowledgeable in motorclothes. I tried it on and the XXL for me perfectly with my hoodie underneath, quality is awesome very impressed, liner feels super warm, the abundance of pockets really sold me, because when my chaps are on my jean pockets are useless, yes I have two pockets on my chaps, which are also First leather brand that my wife bought for me close to 15 years ago and still holding up strong. Usually a jacket is too long, too wide at the bottom or just does not fit me correct, well let me tell you this one is a perfect match, stitching and craftsmanship looks well done, leather feels very nice and thick but not too hard like some other cheaper brands, I prefer jackets with a banded style collar, and it is a true black, not faded or off black which I really like, it also has two vents in the front as well as in the back, as time goes on I will post more info after some break in time, hope this helps, and at a pricepoint of $269.00 and I was given 10% off during the sale , I think it's well worth it, considering some of the prices for some leathers today. If your in the area stop by this store plenty of jackets to try on, and if they don't have it they will get it, can't beat that.

If you haven't already, you should think about taking those tassels off of the zippers.

They flap around in the breeze till the pull tabs break off.

Keep us posted. Im curious about the front zipper letting air in. Ive gone through several jackets and my 20 year old Scott Fonzie seems to win out every time in the cold stuff. BTW Im digging that jacket... Looks killer...

Well the front has the flap that goes over the zipper and snaps, so on my next ride I will post part two of my review.

I have one of their jackets and have been pleased with it. Don't wear it a lot since most of the time it's too hot here
