1 Week 1 Week ONE WEEEEEK

I am SOOOOOO in need of a break that this week away on the bike could not have come at a better (really not good but making it happen) time for my sanity - Have not had a break from work in over 2 years - I am excited and nervous all at the same time - Excited to get back to the region of great roads, excited to meet many of you goofs, nervous as I have never set out on a journey like this before - All my times down at "The Gap" where on Sport Bikes that we trailered down.

Looks like my Bat Wing Neighbor and I will depart the land of Lincoln on Sunday afternoon and truck down (6) hours to KY to meet a few others for dinner and stay the night......wake up in a week from now and head into NC - I AM STOKED for this trip - So much so that on Sat, I almost traded my M8 in on a Stage 3 M8 with about $15K in Motor and Body Work (All CVO Components, Tour Pack, Stretched Bags, Boom 3 etc etc) done to it with 1300 miles on it (Rich Dude gets new bikes about every other month......think it is laundered money).........but I for once in my life said "Pass" - Progress !!!

See ya in a week on my lil stocker M8

Enjoy your time off brother SE.

Two years is a long time to wait for a ONE WEEK BREAK.

Open roads with a buddy sounds like a great time for sure.

Make sure to snap some pictures for your buds on this forum.

Be safe and have a kick ass time.

Oh this Bike was a Beaut Clark.......all I could think of was this time last year when I traded the '16 Gray Ghost in on the '15 Beast and then where I was a year later in wanting off it....so my savings acct stayed at current level and I rode Plain Jane home - The Sales Manager even said....."I would not have even processed that order you stupid son of a bitch now get out of my office and go ride" - That comment alone is why I go to my shop - He was also laughing at how close I was with the numbers in my head to where they would have been

All and all, I am soooooo excited for a few reasons and one being........I am thinking of making a career change into a different field - I have been in Network Security and Forensics for over (15) years now have an opportunity at my feet that I cannot pass up - My last and final interview in a Friday.......and we leave on Sunday so this week has me busy busy busy and ready to unplug soon

SE, and everyone else who will meet up on this ride, have a GREAT time on the road, have a great time enjoying one anothers company off the road, and may you all be safe and healthy! I'm looking forward to the pics that I hope you'll post here. I'm very happy for all of you! I can hardly wait until I get my RG in September so that I'll get the chance to do the same thing and meet some of the wonderful people that make up these forums.
