New to RG/ HD

Hello Forum,

My son and little brother gifted me with a 2009 RG! Sold my Goldwing @25 years ago.

Need a better windshield so been checking the forum, lots of good info. Current screen is not stock. I don't know the brand. I'm 6'2" maybe a shield with a curve at the top?? I will be trying a demo shield at a indie shop, see what happens, I believe the brand is flame?

Thanks!

Check out Freedom Shields and Madstad. The ones Harley have for demos do not provide a lot of wind protection.

Wow, congratulations on having a family that cares enough to put you on a Road Glide. If they didn't care so much, they'd bought you the girl's model (Street Glide). Enjoy getting familiar with your new bike. Ride the snot out of it for a while and take note of what things could be different in order to enhance your ride or safety (wind screen is often one of the first things to be changed). Enjoy!

“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming “Wow! What a Ride!” - HST

Welcome! I’m 6’5 and have Klock Werks 15” pro tour and works well. Even the 14” sport flare may be good for you
